The Gujarat Lions are a temporary franchise cricket team based in the city of Rajkot, Gujarat. The team was purchased by Keshav Bansal, the owner of Intex Technologies. It was one of the most awaited IPL cricket teams when announced. In it’s first IPL, Gujarat Lions performed very poor and lost almost matches. Most of matches were played in its home ground, i.e. Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium at Khandheri, Rajkot.
